Imago ignota» is a project of Emmanouil Zacharioudaki, inspired by the paintings of Surrealist game «Cadavre exquis» ( «exquisite corpse") and the overlapping graffiti on the streets. It is called «Imago ignota» (unknown figure) because no one could imagine what would result from the process of creating a work of art involving different artists.

Zacharioudakis built 15 almost square-shaped cartons of mashed paper and asked 14 artists, friends of his, to participate in the project. Each work is the creation of three artists. Without any restriction or general direction, each artist "painted" three projects; first, second and third in a row, respectively. There was no plan as to who would be first, second or third in each cardboard. Cooperation was accidental. The whole process was time consuming (2013-2016) and strenuous. Kornelios Grammenos contributed substantially to the difficult task of coordination, handling of the works, problem solving and overall management.

The project was an exciting relay race with consecutive approaches, retractions and additions. The fact that the artists differ from each other in terms of age, starting point, artistic intentions, quests, and means of expression  made the project particularly interesting. The result of the project is 15 unpredictable, particularly «exquisite» works.
