Vassilis Papasaikas presents his eleventh exhibition at ekfrasi-yianna grammatopoulou gallery.

The title he chose is “Icons” which he borrows from the Greek Antiquity and is using for the fourth time in a row. The whole show consists of eleven statues-icons of people of his close surroundings.

Vasilis Papasaikas believes that the title of the exhibition describes exactly the philosophical basis that guides his every effort for the achievement of depiction. In Antiquity the name Icon refers only to statues. The painting’s name is “grafi”. The world in which a visual artist lives and acts is a series of concentric circles of persons and situations from which the soul of the real artist takes the vibrations that lead to all his efforts.
